Part-Time Veterinary Assistant
Acworth Animal Hospital has been serving Cobb, Bartow, and Cherokee counties since 1980! We are a part of a group of three sister hospitals in the area.
A multi-doctor practice with numerous well trained support staff, this team is always ready to take care of our canine, feline, and pocket pet patients.
At Acworth Animal Hospital, you will have access to digital radiographs, ultrasound, cold/therapy laser, Cornerstone, and a dedicated surgery suite! We are a feline friendly practice.
We are located less than 30 minutes from an ER facility.
Our hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.
The Veterinary Assistant is responsible for assisting Veterinarians in the care of animals.
The Assistant helps during initial examinations by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order.
Veterinary Assistants also communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.
Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task.
Our next team member will be an energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills.
Must be willing to work flexible hours and some Saturdays.
