Acworth, GA Acworth, GA Full-time Full-time From $47,500 a year From $47,500 a year 8 days ago 8 days ago 8 days ago Merchandiser Refurbishment Manager Manage the daily operation of the Ice merchandiser refurbish & repair facility Operation consists of 4-6 people working full time / part time repairing and refurbishing equipment.
Your primary role is manage the staff, while maintaining an efficient / productive work flow while upholding high quality standards Equipment is inspected for Electrical, Refrigeration, and proper hardware and repaired as needed.
Cabinets are typically sanded, dents puttied, and painted (typically roll-on automotive paint), then reassembled.
Once completed and tested, merchandisers are prepared for shipment and stored until shipped Job Functions Include:
Oversee the repair, refurbishment & reconditioning of the Ice storage merchandisers Hire, Train and manage staff necessary to run the department, while providing necessary coaching to ensure standard are met.
- The typical positions are:
o Painter o Sander o Refrigeration / Mechanical technician o Assembler Manage the rehab process o Clean and repair/replace components of the refrigeration system o Replace / repair the doors / hardware on cabinet o Cabinets to be sanded down, puttied and repainted per spec o Cabinets are reassembled and made ready to be put into service Maintain necessary parts inventory & supplies to perform necessary tasks at facility.
Ensure proper tools are available to perform the required tasks o Communicate with central box maintenance facility for necessary parts & supplies Coordinate necessary transportation - finished goods out and equipment needing refurb coming in.
o Communicate with local Zone Management and Regional Management on equipment movement Maintain accurate records of work completed, prepare reports on productivity stipulated o Monitor and control expenses to ensure profitability Maintaining and enforcing all necessary safety protocols in the workplace as set forth by Home City Ice Minimum Qualifications 1 year experience in managing others Ability to perform light mechanical repair (use of basic tools) Preferred Qualifications Refrigeration repair Auto body repair Job Type:
