- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner - Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently - Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or special requests - Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner - Upsell menu items and promote daily specials - Ensure tables are clean and properly set up for the next guest - Process payments and handle cash transactions - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders - Follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness standards
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in the food service industry preferred - Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus - Proficient in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems - Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional guest experiences - Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately - Knowledge of restaurant operations and procedures - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Understanding of food safety regulations and practices - Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift trays of food or drinks as needed Please note that this position requires the ability to sanitate hands frequently throughout the shift.
